Who Are They?<\/h4>\n

Jack was 12 years old and Tim was 43 years old \u2014 a father and son duo who came to the BGT stage armed with their acoustic guitars.<\/h6>\n

Jack and Tim performed their own original song called \u201cThe Lucky Ones. Jack explained that the song is \u201cabout how lucky we are to have what we have.<\/h6>\n

The Performance<\/h4>\n

Both father and son played acoustic guitars and sang gorgeous duet vocals. Tim sang the first verse, showing a delicate folk vocal style and putting a lot of heart into the words.<\/h6>\n
The big moment came when dad and son sang the chorus together, and hearing their voices join as one simply hit you in the chest. Jack then stole the show with his lead vocal after the chorus, which showcased a wide range and was so sweet and pure.<\/h6>\n
You could see in the judges\u2019 eyes as they watched the audition that Jack and Tim had won them over.<\/h6>\n

The Golden Buzzer Moment<\/h4>\n

After the applause died down, Simon Cowell didn\u2019t hesitate and said, \u201cTim, Jack \u2013 this says it all\u201d \u2014 and hit the Golden Buzzer, sending them straight to the live shows.<\/h6>\n
Simon described the performance as \u201cjust so fantastic, so pure, so great.\u201d<\/h6>\n

Judges\u2019 Reactions<\/h4>\n

David Walliams said it made a big impact on him as a father himself, stating: \u201cIt was just wonderful to see a father and son with a very special connection do this beautiful performance together.\u201d<\/h6>\n
Alesha Dixon heaped praise on the duo, saying: \u201cI\u2019m so happy for you. You\u2019re by far the coolest father and son act that we\u2019ve ever had. I can\u2019t wait to hear more and see you in the live round.\u201d<\/h6>\n
Their Journey Beyond the Audition<\/h6>\n
Jack and Tim came back in the semi-finals with another original song called \u201cBig Wide World.\u201d\u00a0 David remarked it was \u201cVery, very brave\u201d of them to come out and do another original song, and Amanda said she believed Jack had \u201cstar quality.\u201d They won the judges\u2019 vote with three votes \u2014 from Simon, Amanda, and Alesha \u2014 going through to the Grand Final.<\/h6>\n
In the Final, they sang \u201cThe Lucky Ones\u201d again \u2014 the same song from their audition. Simon said it \u201cbrought back so many amazing memories\u201d from the day he first met them, and David called it \u201ca beautiful thing\u201d to witness.<\/h6>\n
